Our Practice nurses are able to carry out blood testing, ear syringing, travel vaccination, childhood immunisation, dressings, blood pressure checks, spirometry, cervical smears, as well as family planning and urine testing. They can give advice on diet, smoking cessation and minor ailments and help run the various clinics offered by the surgery. They also offer routine health checks.
Care Navigators, a centrally funded role by CLH, facilitate a patient’s journey by building working relationships, solving problems and supporting patients while they learn to self-navigate the health care system.
They are all here to you with booking appointments, new patient registration, answering the telephone, taking home visit requests, ordering repeat prescriptions and providing general (non-medical) information.
The IT Manager and supports the practice with IT as well as statistical work.
A Mental Health Practitioner, visits the practice on Wednesdays (12pm to 4:30pm) for booked consultations. She is linked to the Community Mental Health Team locally and can refer patients for psychiatric or other intervention as necessary.
